Now, this is what I consider special! A visit to Theatre Carré. Every single time I walk out of this theatre I feel wonderful. Not so strange, as this is the Royal Theatre Carré. Locals call it simply Carré. If you are looking for a true treat during a short stay in Amsterdam, visit Carré.
Carré is undoubtedly one of the best known and most beautiful theatres in the Netherlands. I personally love the theatre sensation and atmosphere when you walk into the Theatre. I made a small selection of 3 of the more spectacular shows taking place till the end of 2010.
Hurricane - Hans Klok
Hans Klok is an understanding in the world of illusionism. He’s known throughout the world as the fastest illusionist ever….. He had his own show in Las Vegas. The man is tall, handsome and he knows how to create a truly spectacular show. Hans Klok is definitely the superstar amongst today's magicians. And this year, he will come to Carré with his brand new show. Hurricane! The name definitely sounds promising

I am certain that this show will take your breath away. Enter into the world of illusions, enter into the world of Hans Klok. You can see his show from 11 Oct until 18 Oct.
Blaze - Street Dance
A tremendously energetic street dance show by 15 dancers and 1 DJ. Blaze tours through the UK and then through the Netherlands, with a Dutch premiere at Theatre Carré. 90 Minutes of the coolest dance on hip hop and techno beats.
Blaze is directed by top choreographer Anthony Van Laast (Mamma Mia!, Sister Act, Jesus Christ Superstar, My Fair Lady). The set is designed by Es Devlin (set designer for i.e. Kanye West and the upcoming Lady Gaga tour). Names you will remember once you’ve seen this exhilarating show.
Get ready for a boost of energy. The show takes place on 5 and 6 December.
World Christmas Circus
The crème de la crème of the international circus world. Great fun, an exciting show, sensational animals. Superclown David ‘The most perfect music is the laughter of a child’ Larible. A Chines man-juggling act. The winner of the Golden Clown award at the Circus Festival in Monte Carlo 2010. A huge Russian swing and trapeze act from Korea, and much more.
Circus directors from around the world literally gather each year to see this spectacle. The circus is open at different hours from16 Dec 2010 until Jan 2 2011.
